"75% of driving in city with traffic. I maximized the distance that I coasted. I accelerated moderately (not slowly) as mentioned in a thread; however, during acceleration I shifted around 2100rpm. This technique minimized the time that I spent getting my 3200+ lb car up to speed and allowed me to coast or maintain speed for longer distances.
This is a very significant improvement over previous city driving- accelerating slowly and letting rpms climb to 2500 I couldnt even break 20mpg." |

"During this tank there were a couple repairs to the car that required periods of idling. Also fuel filter replacement (loss of a measurable amount of fuel)" |

"really hot outside, so A/C most of the time. Only turned car off at stoplights half of the time. Shifted between 1700-1950 rpm almost all the time; however, I pressed the accelerator enough so that i really wast accelerating very slowly at all. at least 70% of driving was city. only a few short highway trips" |
