Changed injection timing is only mod from last tank. Rought test results showed max 3% effect to fuel consumption at 120 km/h test made on level road.

Temperature +18-19 celsius so quite cold
avg speed 90 km/h

It took 70km to get the fuel consumption gauge to drop to 2.2 l/100km (its off 0.2 liters at the moment)

did some coasting testing with the audi a2 3l. and fuel gauge jumped to 2.4 liters. After that it took 180km to drop back to 2.2 liters. So results is very good.

This is propably last test tank for long time in time with lupo 2l chassis and the engine will be moved to other car. Next summers targets for this car is to be very fast in standing mile drag races with different tdi engine.

Not perfect run but first tank under two liters. Used same filling station as in previous best tank. Made overfill so fuel got even to ground so tank was full.

EOC long downhills was biggest mod compared to previous best.

I will go to make calibration test with 5 liter cup to see if its 5 liters is exatly 5 liters... Nestes fuel weight varies too much so I cannot know what mixture I am getting from the pump stations so weighting does not work for that reason.

First test with new filling system.

Typical weight of Neste Pro diesel is 0.827 kg/l: http://www.neste.fi/doc/150425_fi.pdf

Empty canister=0.50kg
With 5 liters of diesel filled from station=4.60kg
After fillup=2.94 kg
Weight of fuel=1.66kg --> 2.007 liters

Gives 2.178 l/100km. from this test I think its much more accurate than tiny fillups at gas pumps. I have separate sealed storage box for the fuel canister so it wont smell so much inside the car.

Rounded 40mmradius to front fender rear edges. Got new ecu softaware which make it more easier to control the throttle. Actually too easy as there was not enough gas as there were lacking eco throttle position which should give little boost.

Weather +25 celsius and road +48 celsius

Car was much better and I was able to drive faster speeds than previous tank even the tank avg speed was 90 km/h.

Avg speed dropped a lot during this test due traffic incidents. Lots of farming tractors, wood trucks and other people turnign off and onto the road. I roughly had to brake about ten times.

One 100-0 km/h braking loses me about 0.03 liters so I roughly wasted at least 0.1l up to 0.3 liters.

Ultragauge avg speed 90.0 km/h. This was little slower drive speeds than previous best as fuel consumption gauge avg showed 2.3 liter figures.

Still no throttle control not tweaked and power software in which is tricky in accelerations.

Weather +21 celsius and road +40 celsius.

There is a chance of fillup error, but usually they are to other direction. Next tests will reveal more

Road was wet 50% of the time and it was cold +12-15 celsius.

AVG speed 92,7 km/h from ultragauge. 60 and 80 km/h speed limit zones dropped the avg speed down plus some drivers that I had to pass.

Used technigues DWL, target driving and gliding downhills. There were again few idiot drivers and had to make four hard brakings. Also made two u turns.

car was able to reach two liter fuel consumption at 100 km/h speed easily.

Grill block is taken out during testing. Highway driving 90%. New 1st chip revision is in place in the middle of the tank. Now sofware is able to give 75 Hp and 150 Nm if I get intake temps under 30 celsius. Boost pressure is set to 1.3 bar. Some flat out accelerations and high speed driving. Tanks avg speed 100km/h+

I dont have the intercooler so the intake temps are over 50 celsius so the power is still pretty much the same. Water injection is coming to cure that problem.

35% of the route muddy gravel roads. Tarmac sections mostly flat.

Second best was 1.9 SDI 3.299 (14% difference), but we make some mistakes during route. Difference in the last race with stock car was 8.2% and tehn we had a perfect run. So some progress has happened .

same avg speed 85 km/h, but different route. Wife was on board so could not use all the technigues (all the time) that I used on previous tank. Also had to use driving lights for 30% of the time. So overall first impression is that these are as good as the Bridgestones. Now need to make more tests.

Tried to reach 2 liter mark but not even close call. AVG speed was under 80 km/h but still this much fuel was burned. Second half of the tank was already dark so had to run lights which increased the fuel consumtion average from 2.5...2.7 according to fuel gauge.

Installed 135/80R15 tires
smooth hubcaps in all tires.

80% of tanks avg speed was 100 km/h. Cars own fuel consumtion meter showed 3.0 l/100km and the calculated result was 3.066 l/100 km. So the cars own fuel consumtion meters are pretty accurate only fault at the moment is that speedo is about 7% off

2.8 l/100 km @ 100 km/h for 100 km distance (gliding on downhills)
3.5-3.6 l/100km @ 120 km/h for 100 km distance (gliding on downhills)
Rest of the tank avg speed 140 km/h for 450 km distance. about 10 % city driving.
Tested top speed 165-170 km/h on autobahn.
